Does this make sense to you?

So… budgets have been cut.

Money has been saved by getting rid of civilian staff from posts that need to be manned-operations and crime bureau…

Mmm…

So those post need filling though.

Who could be used to fill those posts?

Restricted officers?

Good idea.

They usually have lots of experience and will be happy of a job-period.

They will likely be ALREADY in some non-operational role so, none of the shifts or active departments would be unduly affected.

So, given the above, what do you think the chances are of using fully trained and fit officers?

Yes, that’s what we are doing.

JUST TO BE CLEAR.

FULLY FIT.

FULLY TRAINED OFFICERS HAVE BEEN TAKEN OFF THE FRONT LINE TO MAN DEPARTMENTS REDUCED BY THE CUTS.

What a joke…and the jokes on us.

  1. You can’t blame any individual officer for taking an office job Monday to Friday 9-5
I’m on response team and we despite being chronically understaffed though on paper we are not have lost officers to the wanted offenders unit, media office and now have to provide officers for the understaffed town centre and safer transport teams! We have had staff on maternity and temp restricted duties disappear never too return yet there are no jobs for them permanently and they are carried on our rolls! Go figure you can’t get leave because numbers are critically low and people wonder why moral is so low!!!
