Shock… we get an increase in pension contributions…

Home Secretary Theresa May has finally announced that Police Pensions will be increased on average by 3.2%, with greater increases for higher rank… (my thanks to Police Oracle…).

This means we now will pay 14.2% every month… equating to around £400-450 per month for most of us…

Taking into account the loss of SSP, CTRP payments and the 2-year pay freeze that is a 10% pay drop in real terms… it’s quite a hefty kick in the balls…

I suspect it adds up to around £7000-per annum drop in pay…

This is FAR in excess of almost any other public servant…

It really is out of order…

And we can do what exactly?
