I refer to the public at large…

When you read stories like this:

A baby murdered by her ‘parents’ walking free from court because the judge said it was Social Services fault because they didn’t give enough support to them! He went on to say THEY had been LET DOWN! Sentence? Two year community orders!!!!!

The unnamed infant was just 23 days old when doctors discovered she had suffered multiple breaks to her legs, knees, ribs, right wrist and right hip.

MRI scans showed the baby girl had also sustained a skull haemorrhage and trauma to her brain tissue.

WTF?

Of course, the court system does send people to prison… It depends not so much on the crime – but to whom it is committed against…

The above lady was subjected to a real and nasty case of harassment- bombarded with telephone calls etc… she was made ill by the experience.

The person responsible was given a two year jail sentence.

Nasty case…

But none died.

and…

This charmer took exception to being told off by a passer-by that was disgusted by his bad language to some young girls- and threw him against a MOVING goods train…

He could so easily had died and it was only luck he didn’t…

His sentence?

Two years… SUSPENDED.

Sooner or later…there will be a big problem in this country as people get tired of hearing the above…

Of hearing a £26,000-cap on BENEFITS (baring in mind you need to earn £35000 gross to pick that up-the same as a constable on full pay) is being blocked because ‘it will impact on the kids’…

I don’t remember any fucker whinging that MY kids may be impacted upon when they froze my pay two years ago-effectively giving me a 10% pay cut- removing my chance to have SPP or CRTP do you?

I calculate that this combined package (and freeze) has reduced the earnings of the average bobby by £5000…

Still… as long as the registered voters (that out number us massively) get their dole… they don’t care eh?

Nights…

I am on the second of my two rest days after nights… I suppose I really only get the one day really, since the first day I was asleep until 1400-hrs…

The ‘wall’ for nights is about 0400hrs for me… yuck.

Whilst I am not looking forward to work tomorrow, I can reflect on the fact I have managed to wrangle (that is the word that best suits…since it was no small feat) a transfer to a station 17-miles closer to home- a saving of at least 34-miles PER DAY! Some 200-plus miles a week! (I work 7-in a row for the troll…he has trouble with maths and often tries to boost his self-worth by attempting to demean mine… newsflash troll: I care not…).

My new posting has even got a railway station nearby!

Result.

Of course, it’s not a welfare matter-I swapped with another officer that was in the same situation as myself but on the other end so to speak.

We both asked our gaffer independently, but were rebuffed…it was only after a coincidental meeting that we came up with the plan.

Since we are both in the force CID we have similar skills and our line managers (good sorts, really…) did this with the minimum of effort and issue. It is heartening to know that whilst the SMT still continue with their cold, selfish and unfeeling attitude to the world, there are humanists above us.

Anyway, thanks Jack (he knows to whom I refer!) we will both be much better off.

Welfare.

When Police SMT hear this word they immediately reach for a dictionary.

They talk the talk but almost never walk the walk…

Unless, the person being fucked up is:

a visible ethnic minority; a woman that has a reputation for crying ‘bully!’ (note I did not mention women with children…they are fair game to being fucked up now…I know a few single mums that can testify to this…); a mason or someone with ‘black’ on the gaffer in question.

I can retire in 4-5 years and they can’t come quickly enough…in fact I have a job interview next week… I will let you know how I get on…

‘Can you smell ganja?’

Drug dealers could escape jail even if they are caught with enough cannabis to fill a suitcase.

Drug runners and small time dealers could be given community punishments even if they are arrested with six kilograms (13lb) of the class B drug.

Under sentencing guidelines published today, they can also escape jail if caught with £200 worth of cocaine or 20 ‘tabs’ of ecstasy, both Class A drugs.

Judges will be allowed to hand down a community sentence if defendants show they had a ‘lesser role’ in the deal and were not making much money.

Dealers could also escape jail if the court believed they were ‘vulnerable’ or were dealing only because they had been threatened by more senior gangsters.

The guidelines come into force next month and are likely to raise concerns that drug offences will not be punished severely enough.

Critics say anyone involved in the drugs trade should go to jail, and point out that criminals caught in the act will often accuse each other of being in charge. Tory MP Priti Patel said: ‘Sentencing guidelines should provide a clear deterrent for drug dealing.

‘These people are not just dealing drugs, they are destroying people’s lives.

‘Sentencing guidelines should be stringent, but it appears there is already a worrying loophole.’

The rules, from the Sentencing Council, set out the starting point sentences for anyone convicted of drug supply offences in England and Wales. There are currently no strict guidelines for such offences.

For dealers caught with five ‘wraps’ of cocaine or heroin – usually around a gram each – 20 ecstasy tablets or 170 ‘squares’ of LSD, the starting sentence for judges is 18 months behind bars.

This has been coming for a while…I can see a future-the not too distant future-when people don’t go to prison at all.

For anything.

Murderers will be tagged and allowed to continue with their lives.

Drug dealers will be given community punishments.

In short, society will fall apart because without the consequence of jail what will stop people committing crime?

I can see a system that has secure hospitals for the ‘crazies’ but no prisons.

End of prison population problems eh?

More than half of social workers and a third of police officers feel powerless to intervene in suspected cases of child neglect, a report has revealed.

The poll commissioned by Action For Children revealed while teachers, health workers and nursery staff are increasingly aware of child neglect they are often unsure what action should be taken.

More than 4,000 people, including the general public, professionals and 47 local authorities, took part in the research through polling and focus groups.

It found that 42 per cent of social workers questioned felt that the point at which they could intervene in cases of child neglect was too high.

For those children who did meet the level at which they could intervene, 52 per cent of social workers said a lack of resources was a barrier to taking action and 43 per cent of those questioned said the lack of support services prevented them from acting.

As well as social workers and police officers, primary school teachers and health visitors have shared with Action For Children their concerns over making referrals, with teachers reporting sleepless nights wondering what they should do in cases of suspected child neglect.

I know you may say, ‘well you would say that wouldn’t you?’ but the police are really the very last straw when it comes to neglected and abused kids.

We have emergency powers-sure…but they don’t last long and Social Services are ALWAYS consulted and are expected to take over asap…

What bakes my biscuit when I see headlines like this concerns the bullshit spouted about lack of powers…

Anyone, like me, that has been on the receiving end of a day out or ten in Family Court will tell you courts can, and will, lay down the law with dire consequences if you don’t comply…

I was threatened with imprisonment if I decided to disobey the ridiculous list of ‘directions’ my barmy ex had put on my contact…

I have seen enough judges to know he ment it too…

So enough with the BS eh?

We all know the issues with SS… too many stupid rules, not enough fire in their belly and years of ‘programming’ to say the ‘family is important’- heh… not as important as a child’s life though ….

I note with interest that the critical shortage of foster carers is beginning to cause problems and the directorate are ‘looking into ways to address that’…

Mmm…

Well you could start by not treating every perspective couple as potential nonces…

Query?? …. should We place Our elderly in prisons?

Think about it:

they get a daily shower, video surveillance in case of problems, 3 meals a day, access to a library, computer’s, TV, gym’s, Games n Outdoor activities, there is always a doctor on-site willing to give free medication ….

Criminals into nursing homes???

They have cold meals, lights off at 7pm, two showers a week, live in a smaller room and have to pay rent !!

It’s pretty sad that we treat prisoners better than the elderly…

Mmm…it’s pretty clear that we think more of one group eh?

A policeman was starting an 18-year jail sentence today for sex abuse which a judge described as one of the ‘most despicable’ cases he had ever heard.

The 43-year-old officer was sacked from Thames Valley Police after being disciplined for repeatedly threatening witnesses who had lodged complaints against him.

He had also phoned a 14-year-old girl witness in a case he was dealing with and asking her to go on a date him.

Judge Francis Sheriden jailed paedophile policeman Mohammed Younas after hearing how he raped a girl who was just seven years old and continued to abuse her for eight years.

He had also turned up to work drunk after consuming a bottle of vodka and was found wandering the streets randomly stopping traffic whilst on duty.

Despite his dismissal from the force, the judge heard that the sexual abuse of the girl, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, increased,

Younas attacked the young girl, the court was told, because his wife refused to have sex with him. He also forced another child to touch his genitals.

trash…can’t tell you how disgusted I am that a police officer could commit such a disgusting crime against a young and helpless child.

He is fortunate indeed I am not in charge o his punishment…

YES FOLKS! It’s big CAT season…

A cat earlier today…

”Oi have been seein’ wan of them big cats…”, said my caller…

“Right. Where?”

“In moy gard-den… It was wan of them panthers, I saw one on Attenberg.”

“Yarp. It was HUGE… Moy daag chased it… and oi walks up like and shouts ‘gerrr-aught-ov-it’”

He went on to say that he was sure that it was 5-6ft long… because the bin bag he uses for compost cover-was totally obscured by it’s body.

“So, just to get this right sir, you ran to the bottom of your garden unarmed-to face a Leopard: one of the most aggressive, violent and well evolved killing machines the world has ever seen?”

”It was after moy chickens! Besides…I ‘ad moy daawg with I”

“Sir, if a Leopard wanted your chickens…he would have had them and if your dog interfered, he would have had your dog too.”

It wasn’t a leopard of course… it was his next door neighbours cat.

Perspective can play tricks on the ol’ eyes… Also, most people in this country have never seen anything like a Leopard up close and wouldn’t know what it was…

I do know Leopards are incredibly stealthy and NOCTURNAL.

I suppose the DNA samples may put this to bed…

But… if I know conspiracy theorists… it will be a ‘government cover up’ if it turns out to be a moggie…

A millionaire solicitor collapsed in the dock yesterday after being jailed for spinning a web of lies to escape a drink driving charge.

City lawyer Francis Bridgeman, 43, was earlier found guilty of perverting the course of justice for lying to detectives after he crashed his £50,000 Range Rover Sport into a telegraph pole.

Rather than admit what had happened, he concocted a story that he hoped would preserve his reputation.

Police launched a kidnap investigation after the Oxford-educated school governor claimed armed men had stolen the luxury car at knifepoint before taking him away in another vehicle.

A jury in December decided that the story was an elaborate ruse to escape a drink-driving charge.

Sentencing him for 12 months at Lewes Crown Court yesterday, Judge Guy Anthony said: ‘I doubt a drink-drive conviction would have led to this but any conviction of perverting the course of justice is serious.’

The factors not mentioned by the judge that I would suggest are the driving (opps…) force behind his silly behaviour are:

Overtime…

It used to be something that we regarded as a perk, a way of making a bit for Xmas, holidays and so forth.

People would go into the hat for the OT draw…

They would barter, bargain, bribe… just to get it…

There was a pecking order too…

The snr blokes and ladies, the area car drivers…

Now fast forward to today.

Nobody wants it.

Officers with 2-years in are saying they DON’T WANT IT.

Officers with kids at uni are saying ‘NO THANKS…I WOULD RATHER HAVE THE TIME OFF.’

What more damning verdict could there be on the state of Police morale than that?

Now we here another spiteful, vengeful SMT are taking out their anger on a bobby that DARED to tweet the REAL state of play out there…

There are a lot of vindictive, spiteful and just plain mean managers in the police…

What has happened to the job I loved to do?

I loved to go to work, I really enjoyed it.

Those days are long gone I’m afraid…

Now I, like many in my position-victims of bullying-have just about given up… if they ware happy to post me to a team where I never see the light of day…
