PCC John “gobshite” Dwyer has started as he means to go on by telling the officers that stand to and get spat at, punched, kicked etc and occasionally murdered..that they are so lucky to be receiving a four grand drop in pay, work 5-years longer to get a reduced pension that they shouldn’t even speak about it.
Of course as a former ACC with a pension the size of a small country and a new salary of 90k he would know all about having to ‘make do’ eh?

Dear Mr Dwyer,
I don’t believe much that is printed in The Mail but as I haven’t heard any denial to their allegations we have to assume there is some truth in them.
When police officers are facing pay cuts, increased pension contributions and potential redundancies, to suggest that they are lucky to have jobs at all and don’t work for HMV is insensitive, crass and ignorant beyond belief.
You have a very large pension and a very large salary and you clearly have no idea how someone is supposed to live on £19K. Yes there are plenty of applicants to join the police. Have you seen the quality of most of them? It was bad enough last year. On this new salary I hate to think what you are going to get. There is no shortage of applicants to be MP’s or PCC’s but they are paid a good salary ‘to ensure that we get good quality candidates’. I somehow feel Cheshire might have been better off electing Screaming Lord Such as PCC.
I have voted Conservative most of my life. I understand that the Government has a difficult job to do to balance the books. The insensitive and hypocritical manner in which the Conservatives are dealing with the deficit has ensured that I will not be voting for them again. Comments such as yours will ensure that I will not be voting for someone like you. I suspect many others will take the same view.
