How can MI5, the cops or CRB vet these new staff in two weeks?
They will have access to the most sensitive areas…
Ask yourself this: if you were a terrorist planning an attack would you try your luck at infiltrating G4S?

I hope the greed and private agendas of the politicians in charge if this scandal doesn’t end up costing lives….
But it’s not a scandal….we will moan and laugh and in a few months time all will be forgotten. The politicians are not even slightly embarassed, they are probably having a laugh in private. If this is the level of regard they show when the spotlight of the world is upon us, what regard do you think they will show us once it is all over?
Hundreds and hundreds of our troops have been killed, thousands maimed, but the axe falls. They will not care about a few police having to work long hours and then sacking them after the olympics. Short of a collapse in the coalition and another general election, the march towards destruction of the police will continue.
It is not a scandal, it is deliberate greed. What else matters these days?

a few years back I was working on a high risk MOD base usually the three of us trundled up to the gate in my classic car we held up our badges and in we went one day we all had to get out of the car and the old crock.was checked under the.bonnet.and in the boot ?
Seems.the military copper in charge decided to.do a spot check only to find that three minibuses full of contractors to the base had no legal right to be there seems as staff left they simply gave their ID cards to the next bloke !!!!! No background check or anything they all worked for a massive construction company so i guess the same thing will happen with the olympics its not just terrorists you will get sex pests and thieves and druggies and lord knows what else getting in
they should have left it to the proffesionals !
G4S have just failed in providing staff to a venue in my force in the North. This has led to officers being called in with a couple of hours notice for double time shifts. Is this the future or the way to save money!!!!

For the shareholders of G4s? yup… these people look at the long game… when all the fuss dies down about the games- will the media still be as interested?

I Wonder if Olalekun Egungbowun is working for G4S he seems like an ideal candidate
employed by London underground he nicked a 20K violin from Sarah Titterington (lovely name that conjures up all sorts of things !!)
He was caught on CCTV and convicted at blackfriars crown court and in the article in todays Times he now has a new job as a !!!!! Security guard you could not make it up
