To my eternal delight, I can say that I have met, and had a genuine conversation with this lady. She was intelligent, articulate, and a pleasure to talk to. Of course there has been quite a bit of publicity, and stolen videos, about her lifestyle but who said she was ever a paragon of virtue? Who amongst us can say that they have led a bland, vanilla, life, were virgins when we married and went to Mass three times on Sunday. To assume that everything you read about her in magazines was the truth is to assume that Jeremy Clarkson takes intelligence pills before fronting ‘Top Gear’. Give the girl a break.

As an experienced Cop, I would suggest you are on about £35,00 a a year – not a lot for what you do but which is the going rate. Now, imagine someone tells you that you can make £3,000 a day for taking your kit off and, almost, showing your naughty bits (a leaked video showing you with your mouth in some woman’s crotch wouldn’t hurt either). It may mean you will never be treated the same in the Police canteen – if you can find one today – but then £3,000 a day is £3,000 a day. What would you do? It may only last a year or so but then you will have made more than a full career as a Cop, plus pension, would give you. Don’t forget that Miss Titmuss is a trained actor, graduated from two prestigious academies and has received awards, from professional critics, for her acting ability. Again, I say, give the girl a break.
